The bidders are two US-based grain companies, two Swiss firms, two Singapore-based exporters, a wheat exporter from Canada, the Australian Wheat Board, a United Kingdom's firm and a United Arab Emirate's company, a TCP statement said. A decision on these bids is expected by Tuesday, the statement said.
TCP issued the tender for the wheat import in the third week of August, following purchase of around 484,000 tonnes of milling wheat on August 9.
TCP then purchased wheat at prices ranging from $198 to $217 a tonne C&F, Karachi's port Qasim.
